Baby Eva was born Feburary 5th to her strong, beautiful mama.  Kelly and Steve welcomed their daughter mid-morning with open arms!

Rebecca was our doula and we had a wonderful, full birth experience with her guidance. We'd planned on a completely natural childbirth, but since my blood pressure was rapidly escalating, I needed more medical intervention than anticipated. My husband Steve and I felt as if our journey was full, informed, and wonderful with Rebecca by our side! We started with about 6 hours of very intense labor without interventions, with contractions coming 2 minutes apart so I had no time to rest.  Rebecca helped coach me to get into more comfortable positions, use productive vocalization, and most importantly, helped me feel completely safe. We had complete trust in her the whole time. My husband Steve was very reassured by her guidance, and that everything happening to my body was normal and natural.  As time went on, we had several different doctors and nurses. Rebecca interacted with them all in a very professional and diplomatic way, asked the right questions, and helped my husband and I weigh each decision and option every step of the way. In short, she helped us own our delivery process and make us feel as if we were in complete control and that we were choosing the best, safest options. In the end, our daughter Eva needed to come into the world in a way that we did not anticipate, I ended up having a C-section, but it didn't matter - we felt so grateful to have her healthy and happy and she's exceeding all of our expectations!
